With funding from the federal government’s Stronger Communities Programme – Round 6 via federal MP Catherine King we now have a fabulous conversation corner at Gordon Public Park! Three garden benches – by Kropf – make a wonderful place to have a rest, have a chat , watch the tennis and enjoy the park.
We received a mysterious call seeking a meeting with an unnamed group, not surprisingly we were a little hesitant but was assured it was positive. So on Sunday the 11th of July we met at the clubhouse. And what a surprise! The Gordon Hotel Sporting and Social Club had wound up and decided to donate their remaining funds to the Committee! We’re still considering a worthy use of these funds and are humbled by the GHS&S club’s generosity and trust in us.
